Berber Point 920 Moods

Manufactured using Stainproof Miracle Fibre (Polypropylene), Berber Point 920 Moods is designed to provide reliable stain resistance and long-lasting performance. It achieves a colour fastness rating greater than 6 under NF EN ISO 105-B02, while water fastness under ISO 105-E01 and dry and wet rubbing fastness under ISO 105-X12 are rated 4–5. Available with a choice of PlainBac and NexBac backing systems, the range offers flexibility to meet different installation and performance requirements. PlainBac features a ResinBac backing, while NexBac incorporates a bitumen backing. Both variants offer dimensional stability in accordance with NF EN 986, with shrinkage and extension limited to = 0.2% in both directions. Electrostatic propensity is = 2.0 kV, tested in accordance with EN 1307 / ISO 6356. For acoustic performance, PlainBac provides a sound absorption coefficient of aw = 0.15 and sound insulation of 19 dB, while NexBac provides sound insulation of 17 dB. Thermal resistance is 0.1149 m²·K/W for PlainBac and 0.1002 m²·K/W for NexBac, tested in accordance with ISO 8302. The product’s sound insulation performance is assessed under EN ISO 10140, while sound absorption is tested according to EN ISO 354. Berber Point 920 achieves a Cfl-S1 fire classification under EN 13501 and Class 2 under ASTM E 648-08. It has passed VOC testing in accordance with ASTM D5116, supporting its consideration for commercial interior applications. The product is manufactured to meet the relevant technical requirements for heavy commercial flooring. Designed for practical installation, Berber Point 920 Moods should be fitted in accordance with the SANS 10186 code of practice. Tile installations should follow a tessellated direction, and Belgotex recommends carpet protector mats in areas where castor wheels are used. The product is suitable for staircase applications as specified under EN 1963 / NF EN ISO 1295.
